Tell Arizona Legislature and Governor to STOP Harmful Utility Bill (HB 2201)
Send a Letter TodayArizona consumers and businesses should not bear the cost of utility companies’ negligence.
Arizona lawmakers are considering a harmful bill (HB 2201) that would make it harder for property owners to recover damages when a utility’s negligence results in a fire that causes property damage.
As wildfires continue to increase in frequency and intensity, there is a real need to harden utility infrastructure and prevent wildfires during extreme weather. However, instead of providing concrete solutions, HB 2201 would shield utilities from liability, making it difficult for Arizona property owners to recover damages from any fire caused by a utility company’s negligence.
If passed by the Legislature and signed into law by Governor Hobbs, this harmful bill would only benefit utility companies, while threatening the property of homeowners and businesses, and failing to address the growing threat of wildfires impacting communities across the state.
As this harmful bill moves through the Legislature, we need Arizona consumers like you to urge lawmakers to REJECT HB 2201.
We need your voice!
Send a letter today and tell your lawmakers to oppose HB 2201 and push for real solutions to protect Arizonans.
